PETALING JAYA:
Aaron Chia-Soh Wooi Yik became the fourth Malaysian pair to enter the semi-finals of the India Open after defeating Thai shuttlers Kittinupong Kedren-Dechapol Puavaranukroh in straight games this evening.

After a slow start, Aaron-Wooi Yik, ranked world No 5, picked up steam to defeat Kittinupong-Dechapol 21-18, 21-18 in 39 minutes.

In tomorrow’s semi-final, Aaron-Wooi Yik will meet South Korea’s Kim Won Ho-Seo Seung Jae, who defeated China’s Liang Wei Keng-Wang Cheng.

The Malaysians were the losing finalist at the India Open in 2023.
