Abdullah Said, the chairman of FAM’s election committee, said no one else is in the running to replace outgoing FAM president Hamidin Amin.
Yusoff Mahadi and S Sivasundaram will also retain their deputy president’s posts uncontested, Berita Harian reported.
There will only be contests for the four vice-presidencies and executive council posts.
Candidates who want to contest for the FAM president’s post must be nominated by 18 association members, whereas those eyeing the deputy presidency must be nominated by five members.
After two terms, Hamidin announced last month that he would not defend the president’s post in the elections to be held on Feb 15.
He was appointed as FAM president in July 2018, replacing Johor regent Tunku Ismail Sultan Ibrahim. Hamidin then retained the post unopposed for the 2021-2025 term.
He is a member of the Fifa Council for the 2023-2027 term and serves on the executive committee of the Asian Football Confederation, where he has been appointed as the chairman of the AFC finance committee.
