PETALING JAYA:
A homestay in Kundasang, Sabah, was destroyed by a landslide following heavy rain today.

Ranau fire and rescue station chief Ridwan Taib said they received an emergency call at about 5.30pm.

He said there were no casualties as the premises were unoccupied at the time.

“Three firefighters and a fire engine were dispatched to the scene,” he said, according to Berita Harian.

The team advised nearby residents to evacuate to safer locations, he said.

Armed forces personnel from Ranau were also present at the scene.
