PETALING JAYA:
Segambut MP Hannah Yeoh’s book, Becoming Hannah: A Personal Journey, is heading for its 19th reprint amid an uproar by the opposition which claims the DAP leader wrote her book to make Malaysia a Christian nation.

“My publisher has informed me that ‘Becoming Hannah’ is now going for its 19th reprint,” Yeoh said in a brief Facebook post today.

Yeoh’s book was first published over a decade ago.

Bersatu leaders recently lodged multiple reports against the youth and sports minister, accusing her of attempting to convert Muslims and turn Malaysia into a Christian nation.

This was after Yeoh’s defamation suit against former inspector-general of police Musa Hassan over a statement he made was dismissed by the High Court.

Musa allegedly accused Yeoh of writing her book to make Malaysia a Christian nation, destroy Islam and the country, and place her personal interests above that of the nation.

A total of 182 police reports were lodged against Yeoh, who is appealing the High Court’s decision.

Yeoh has however received support from several quarters such as Warisan information chief Azis Jamman, who said there was nothing in her book about trying to convert Muslims to Christianity.
