PETALING JAYA:
A body was found floating in Sungai Damansara behind the Xin Hua warehouse at Section 22, Shah Alam, Selangor, yesterday.

In a statement, Shah Alam police chief Iqbal Ibrahim said they were contacted at around 11.14am yesterday by a member of the public who discovered the body.

“Initial investigations found that the deceased is a male of unknown identity, as no identification documents were found on the body,” he said.

“The deceased was found face down, wearing a red and black short-sleeved T-shirt and dark-coloured long pants, with no visible BCG vaccination scar on his left shoulder.”

Iqbal said physical examinations found no signs of a struggle or other injuries on the body that could indicate the cause of death.

He said the body had been sent to Shah Alam Hospital for a post-mortem to determine the cause of death.

The investigation is being conducted under a sudden death report.
