PETALING JAYA:
Malaysian football club Johor Darul Ta’zim (JDT) have entered into a partnership with French giants Paris Saint-Germain FC, also known as PSG.

The Southern Tigers announced the partnership after their owner, Johor regent Tunku Ismail Sultan Ibrahim, met with a PSG delegation led by Daniel Markham, chief of staff to PSG president Nasser Al-Khelaifi.

“A principal agreement was reached to establish a collaboration between the French Ligue 1 champions and JDT.

“The aspects discussed include a multi-club partnership with Qatar Sports Investments-owned football clubs, the development of grassroots football, infrastructure, branding and the sharing of expertise and technology,” JDT said in a statement on Facebook.

JDT also said Tunku Ismail was invited by Nasser to visit PSG’s new training centre and attend matches at their home ground, the Parc des Princes.
