KUANTAN: A 35-year-old motorcyclist was killed while two children in a Proton X50 sports utility vehicle were injured when the car crashed into the motorcycle in the opposite lane near Pekan at 1pm today.
The motorcyclist, Rizan Saari, died at the scene, said Pekan police chief Zaidi Mat Zin.
He said preliminary investigations showed that the car had hit an unidentified object on the Pekan-Batu Balik road. The driver, the children’s mother, lost control before crashing into the motorcycle.
“The two children sustained minor injuries, while their mother was unharmed,” he said.
