PETALING JAYA:
A Year 6 student died after he was believed to have been electrocuted at a school in Serdang, Selangor, yesterday.

Serdang police chief AA Anbalagan said a woman had lodged a report about the 6.30pm incident.

“While the complainant was at work, she received a patient – a 12-year-old boy – who was unconscious and believed to have suffered an electric shock at a school in Serdang,” he said in a statement.

“The boy was pronounced dead at 6.50pm.”

He said the case has been classified as sudden death.

Anbalagan said that investigations are ongoing, and the police are awaiting the post-mortem report to determine the cause of the boy’s death.
