PETALING JAYA:
Sarawak United People’s Party (SUPP) president Dr Sim Kui Hian says the party has not received an application from Batu Lintang assemblyman See Chee How to join the party.

According to the Borneo Post, Sim, who is also Sarawak deputy premier, brushed off rumours that See, an independent assemblyman, might soon join the party.

Sim said: “He has been working with us for a while now, and we are very happy with the working relationship.

“We are happy to work closely with him at this point because we don’t want the people of Batu Lintang to be deprived of the government’s development progress,” he told reporters in Kuching today.

Rumours that See would join SUPP started after he was recently seen at a meeting with premier Abang Johari Openg and SUPP assemblymen at the state assembly complex.

See was sacked from PKR in April 2020. He joined Parti Sarawak Bersatu the following month with Selangau MP Baru Bian, who had also left PKR. See left PSB in August 2022.
