PETALING JAYA:
Rice miller and wholesaler Serba Wangi Sdn Bhd has donated 20 tonnes of essential food items to social media influencer and entrepreneur Khairul Aming’s relief effort for flood victims in Kelantan.

Serba Wangi said the donation, worth RM432,650, was given to Khairul’s Bantuan Orang Baik initiative aimed at delivering essential goods to those affected by the floods.

The company delivered the packets of instant fried meehoon or rice vermicelli, Brice snacks, and brown rice drinks to Luxury Garden in Kota Bharu, Kelantan, over the course of yesterday and today.

Khairul had set up a hub of sorts there for volunteers to gather supplies and coordinate assistance for the victims.

Serba Wangi Sdn Bhd told FMT that this contribution reflects the company’s dedication to community welfare and its role in providing critical support during times of crisis.

As of 1.30pm today, there were 83,217 flood victims housed at 325 shelters in seven states. Kelantan, Khairul’s home state, is the worst-hit with 49,721 evacuees.
