KUALA LUMPUR:
The meteorological department (MetMalaysia) expects a “monsoon surge” to occur from Dec 8 to 14 in the eastern part of Peninsular Malaysia.

MetMalaysia said the situation has the potential to cause continuous rain during that period.

In a statement today, it also said based on an analysis of weather models, a concentration of wind is expected to occur in Kelantan and Terengganu from tomorrow evening until early Wednesday morning.

This could produce thunderstorms and heavy rain during the period, it said.
