
All relief centres in Selangor and another in Perlis have closed, while the number of evacuees has dropped in Kelantan, Terengganu, Kedah, Perlis, Negeri Sembilan, Melaka and Johor.
In Pahang, the number of flood victims increased to 1,152 in Raub, Jerantut and Lipis. Water levels at two rivers remained above the danger level. Several main roads in Raub have been closed to all light vehicles.
Kelantan has 94,214 people at relief centres. Pasir Mas has the highest number (29,846 people), followed by Tumpat (18,652), Kota Bharu (11,146), Pasir Puteh (10,673), Kuala Krai (6,099), Bachok (6,611), Machang (6,595), Tanah Merah (4,243) and Jeli (349).
Terengganu has 41,788 people in relief centres in all eight affected districts.
In Kedah, 8,468 people are housed in relief centres, with the highest number in Kota Setar and Kubang Pasu. A stretch of the Jitra to Hutan Kampung road remained closed, with south-bound traffic diverted to the Jitra Selatan interchange and north-bound traffic diverted to the Kepala Batas interchange.
In Johor, the number of evacuees dropped to 528 people, with three relief centres closed. The number of evacuees also dropped in Negeri Sembilan (1,561 people) and in Melaka to 238 evacuees, while only 74 people remain in relief centres in Perlis.
