Justice K Muniandy allowed each of them to post bail at RM50,000 with two sureties.
He also ordered them to surrender their passports to the court as part of the bail conditions pending the disposal of their case.
“The accused need to report to their nearest police station every month and are not allowed to comment about the case,” Muniandy added.
The court also ordered the authorities to impose travel bans on them.
In granting bail, Muniandy said all 13 were presumed innocent of the charge against them.
“This warrants them bail. Besides that, it might take a long time to complete the trial,” he said, acknowledging that they had been detained in Sungai Buloh prison for two years now.
The court fixed Jan 23, 2025 for the next case management. The trial is scheduled to start in July next year.
The 13 accused were represented by lawyers Kelvinder Singh, Adi Zulkarnian Zulkafli, Goh Cia Yee, Amin Abdullah, and Wan Ariff Ameer Wan Normazlan.
Deputy public prosecutor Badius Zaman Ahmad appeared for the prosecution.
