PETALING JAYA: Police are tracking down a man in his 50s suspected of having molested a 12-year-old girl who was being cared for by his wife in Johor.
Kulai police chief Tan Seng Lee said the suspect is believed to have committed the act on the child last year, when she was 11, but a police report was filed only on Wednesday, Berita Harian reported.
Tan said the girl recently sought treatment at a hospital for depression, when she told the medical officer attending to her that she had been molested by her caregiver’s husband. A police report was then filed by the girl’s family.
