PETALING JAYA: Bachok has become the first district in Kelantan to be hit by floods following continuous rain since Wednesday.
A temporary relief centre has been opened at SMK Beris Panchor to house 30 victims from 10 families, Bernama reported.
In Terengganu, 59 people in Marang, Setiu and Kemaman had been evacuated to three shelters as of 4pm. This morning, 66 people in Perak’s Larut, Matang and Selama districts were residing in shelters due to floods.
The meteorological department previously forecast continuous heavy rain throughout Terengganu and parts of Kelantan and Pahang until Saturday, warning of possible flooding.
