Findings on ‘therapeutic’ well water in Rembau out soon, says Dzulkefly

The health minister says it is not wrong to make claims, but it must be accompanied by evidence.

Health minister Dzulkefly Ahmad said a study is being conducted on the water from the well in Negeri Sembilan, as many believe it has positive effects on their health.
PETALING JAYA:
The health ministry will soon release its review and findings on the use of “therapeutic” well water in Rembau, Negeri Sembilan.

The water is claimed to provide health benefits to individuals suffering from various diseases quickly, Bernama reported.

Health minister Dzulkefly Ahmad has promised to seriously address the “miracle water” issue.

“We have responded to the matter before but will make comments and share the findings soon.

“It is essential for all of us to be literate and well-read. All of us, irrespective of race, should be prevented from being duped.

“It is not wrong to make claims, but it must be accompanied by evidence — that is the view of the health ministry.

“We are investigating and will share the findings soon,” he said in response to questions about the “ion therapy” well water in Rembau at an event in Jitra, Kedah, today.

The water is believed to cure various ailments, including stroke. The well’s location has also attracted visitors who want to collect the water.

Asked to comment on the tension arising over the distribution of Johor state election seats, Dzulkefly said all matters could be negotiated.

“With the spirit of cooperation, everyone can undoubtedly negotiate … there is nothing that cannot be negotiated.

“So, in the spirit of advancing the state and the country, the leadership of Barisan Nasional and Pakatan Harapan can work together and reach an agreement on the matter.

“I am confident that they will be able to resolve this issue,” he said.

Previously, a Johor Amanah deputy leader also named Dzulkefly Ahmad said he could not rule out the possibility of a clash between PH and BN in the upcoming Johor state polls and 16th general election.
