Five arrested after brawl between football supporters

Police say they managed to calm things down during the brawl, which took place after a Super League match between Negeri Sembilan FC and JDT.

Five men have been arrested for being involved in a scuffle between supporters of the Negeri Sembilan FC and Johor Darul Ta’zim FC football teams after a Super League match on Friday.

League leaders JDT gave bottom-placed Negeri Sembilan FC a 4-0 thrashing to secure their place at the top.

Seremban district police chief Rosli Ishak said three men, aged 17 to 21, were arrested at a hotel near Tuanku Abdul Rahman Stadium in Paroi while the others, aged 18 and 20, were arrested yesterday.

“We managed to calm things down during the incident. The five are believed to be Negeri Sembilan supporters. The police have also identified other individuals suspected of being involved in the incident and are tracking them down,” he said in a statement today.

He urged those with information to contact Seremban police.
