PETALING JAYA: The police have recorded statements from 16 people so far in its investigation into the bullying of a cadet at the National Defence University (UPNM) in Sungai Besi, says Kuala Lumpur police chief Rusdi Isa.
In a brief statement to the media, he said the victim’s medical report was not ready yet.
It was reported yesterday that police had opened an investigation into allegations that a UPNM cadet was bullied by a senior who pressed a hot iron against his chest.
Inspector-General of Police Razarudin Husain said the investigation was being carried out under Section 324 of the Penal Code for voluntarily causing hurt by dangerous weapons or means.
He said the incident was alleged to have taken place at 11.45pm on Oct 22 at the UPNM hostel.
