PETALING JAYA:
Fake social media accounts are claiming to be or using the name of the Sultan of Pahang, Al-Sultan Abdullah Sultan Ahmad Shah.

In a Facebook post, the Pahang sultanate said Sultan Abdullah did not have any personal social media accounts, Bernama reported.

It added that all official announcements, activities or statements involving the sultan would be shared through the Pahang sultanate’s social media platforms.

It also said the Tengku Ampuan Pahang, Tunku Azizah Aminah Maimunah Iskandariah, only has Instagram and TikTok accounts named “Tengku Ampuan Pahang” while the Tengku Mahkota of Pahang, Tengku Hassanal Ibrahim Alam Shah, has one Instagram account with the handle “this.7”.

“The Pahang palace denies the existence of other social media accounts created by irresponsible parties and urges the public not to be deceived by impersonators attempting to mislead them.”
