Nooryana Najib appointed to Matrade board

The daughter of former prime minister Najib Razak is one of the board's three new directors.

PETALING JAYA:
Nooryana Najwa Najib, the daughter of former prime minister Najib Razak, has been appointed as a director of the Malaysia External Trade Development Corporation (Matrade).

Her appointment was announced by Matrade chairman Reezal Merican Naina Merican in a Facebook post last night.

“I handed a letter of appointment from the Matrade board of directors to Nooryana and witnessed her swearing an anti-bribery oath together with two other (new) directors, Hairil Yahri Yaacob and Mastura Abdul Karim.

“Congratulations to Nooryana on her appointment as a director of Matrade,” Reezal Merican, who is also an Umno Supreme Council member, said.

A member of Puteri Umno’s executive council and the Puteri Umno chief for the Lembah Pantai division, Nooryana studied at Georgetown University, the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania, and the Kennedy School of Harvard University.
