
The duo beat Chinese Taipei’s Chang Ching Hui-Yang Ching Tun 21-8, 21-18 in the quarter-final last night.
The world No 7 duo were in devastating form as they took just 32 minutes to defeat the world No 26 pair.
Pearly-Thinaah, who are seeded third in the tournament, will face a tough challenge in the semi-final tonight against the second-seeded Japanese pair of Rin Iwanaga-Kie Nakanishi.
They join two other doubles pairs from Malaysia vying for a spot in the final of the Arctic Open, namely the men’s doubles pair of Goh Sze Fei-Nur Izzuddin Rumsani and the mixed doubles pair of Goh Soon Huat-Shevon Lai.
Sze Fei-Izzudin, who are ranked eighth in the world, will face an uphill task to make the finals as they face China’s world No 1 Liang Wei Keng-Wang Chang.
Meanwhile, Soon Huat-Shevon, the world No 10, will take on Jiang Zhen Bang- Wei Ya Xin of China, who are ranked third.
