PETALING JAYA:
Police are investigating an incident where a man allegedly unzipped his pants and performed an indecent act in front of a few teenagers at a convenience store in Subang Bestari, Selangor.

Sungai Buloh police chief Hafiz Nor confirmed that a report was filed by an 18-year-old at about 1.30pm on Oct 7.

In her report, the teenager said she and her friends were at the convenience store when a man sat at a table opposite them.

“The suspect then unzipped his pants and played with his genitals in front of the group of friends,” Hafiz said in a statement, adding that the group left immediately.

He said an investigation paper has been opened under Section 509 of the Penal Code for making gestures intended to insult the modesty of a person, punishable with a prison sentence of up to five years, or a fine, or both, if convicted.
