Malaysians in Iraq, Iran urged to register with e-Konsular system

Wisma Putra advises Malaysians in the region to maintain close communication with the respective embassies for updates and guidance.

Wisma Putra has urged all Malaysians currently residing in or visiting Iraq and Iran to register with the e-Konsular system in light of the increased tension in the region.

“Those who have not yet done so are strongly encouraged to register immediately.

“Malaysians in the region should be prepared for potential disruptions to flight schedules and are advised to make necessary adjustments to their travel plans,” the foreign ministry said in an advisory.

Malaysians are also advised to maintain close communication with the embassies in the respective countries for the necessary updates and guidance.

“The Malaysian embassies in both countries are actively engaging with registered Malaysians to ensure their safety and to provide them with timely information,” it added.

The ministry said it will continue to monitor the situation closely and provide updates as necessary to ensure the safety and well-being of all Malaysians.
