Razarudin said he ordered Kedah police chief Fisol Salleh to enforce the suspensions with immediate effect, Harian Metro reported.
“Action will be taken under Rule 3C of the Public Officers (Conduct and Discipline) Regulations 1993,” he was quoted as saying.
“The supervisors of these policemen will also be transferred due to their inability to manage their subordinates.”
Razarudin said the police force would not protect “bad apples” that could undermine its reputation and reminded its officers to be role models for society.
“Let this serve as a stern warning. Officers and police personnel are entrusted with upholding the law. That does not mean you are above the law,” he said, adding that action will be taken against those found guilty of any criminal offence.
Separately, Bukit Aman’s integrity and compliance department director, Azri Ahmad, said the raid on the entertainment centre was carried out based on information received.
A total of 31 individuals were arrested, of which two were police officers while 10 others were rank-and-file personnel. All twelve policemen also tested positive for drugs.
A second urine sample will be taken from the detained policemen for additional testing.
