PETALING JAYA: Selangor’s Sultan Sharafuddin Idris Shah granted an audience to Danald Jute, the Anglican bishop of Kuching and Brunei, today.
The Selangor Royal Office said the sultan and Jute exchanged views on current affairs during the meeting at Istana Bukit Kayangan in Shah Alam.
“Previously, the sultan had visited Jute at his home in Kuching when His Highness visited Sarawak in November 2023,” it said in a Facebook post.
It added that Jute, who has been the Anglican bishop of Kuching and Brunei since 2017, had been involved in interfaith discussions and dialogues abroad, including at the Al-Azhar University in Egypt.
Jute also chairs the Anglican Interfaith Commission, an international platform, as well as the Association of Churches in Sarawak.
