PETALING JAYA:
Social media influencer “Lim Sian See” has been formally unmasked as Eric See-To, a former Barisan Nasional strategic communications deputy director, confirming long-running rumours about his identity.

He was revealed in a podcast with PKR deputy president and economy minister Rafizi Ramli tonight, seven months after Rafizi said he wanted to unmask the man behind “Lim Sian See”, who is among his fiercest critics.

In an episode of Rafizi’s “Yang Bakar Menteri” podcast, See-To claimed that Rafizi had known who “Lim Sian See” was, although Rafizi had denied it, saying “there was no confirmation”.

“Actually, many in the media know ‘Lim Sian See’s’ real identity,” See-To said. “Prior to this they wanted to quote my (Facebook) posts but were afraid to do so and have been wanting me to go on record.”

See-To also said he is not anti-government or against Rafizi, adding that they were now part of the same team, referring to Pakatan Harapan and BN being partners in the unity government coalition.

He said he was only out to correct a few misconceptions.

Rafizi said he had invited “Lim Sian See” to the podcast as LSS had previously claimed that no civil action had been taken against him. “Which is why I wanted him to sign a declaration confirming he is LSS as action cannot be taken against a fake account.

“But now, everyone knows who is LSS and it is easier to take action if there is a report lodged.”

When contacted, See-To dared Rafizi to carry out his threat to take action.

“Go ahead, because I have never said anything that is not true.”

He also said the one hour he had with Rafizi was too short and that he had a lot more to ask him. He also said while he felt that his delivery was not as good as Rafizi’s, his points were solid.

“And I managed to get a few admissions from him,” said the former mystery blogger.
