In a statement, Carsome Academy said that as part of the new collaboration, scholarships will be offered to underprivileged students to enable them to pursue automotive studies at the institution.
Its co-founder and CEO Teoh Jiun Ee said the partnership with YRMS allows the institution to further expand its reach and impact within the community.
“By providing scholarships and quality education through our automotive-focussed TVET programmes, we can help shape the future workforce and give underprivileged youths a chance to thrive,” he said.
The academy said the partnership with YRMS was marked with the acceptance of a certificate of collaboration presented during the YRMS TVET Open Day at the Sultan Idris Shah Polytechnic in August.
“The event, officiated by Raja Muda of Selangor Tengku Amir Shah, recognises Carsome Academy as one of six key institutional partners working with YRMS,” it added.
The certificate of collaboration outlines the commitments of both parties, including creating career opportunities and enhancing skills development for graduates of the academy.
The parties also aim to facilitate the sharing of expertise, equipment, and facilities as well as collaboration for research, publications, innovation and commercialisation.
They also agreed to collaborate on training consultations and related certification programmes.
To date, YRMS has supported more than 5,726 students from across Malaysia, nurturing hidden talents and helping them build brighter futures.
“Through this collaboration, Carsome Academy will enhance YRMS’s mission by providing focussed pathways into the automotive sector, offering underprivileged youths the tools and education they need to achieve employment and personal growth.”
