A total of 4,911 early voters were eligible to cast their ballots in the by-election.
Saturday’s by-election for the state seat is a straight fight between Barisan Nasional’s Syed Hussien Syed Abdullah and Perikatan Nasional’s Haizan Jaafar.
It is being held following the death of Umno assemblyman Sharifah Azizah Syed Zain, 63, on Aug 2.
The Mahkota state constituency, located within the Kluang parliamentary constituency, has a total of 66,318 registered voters.
Twenty polling centres will be open on Saturday.
