IPOH: Two men were killed after a five-tonne lorry carrying office supplies rear-ended a trailer lorry at Km202 of the West Coast Expressway (WCE) heading south near Sitiawan early this morning.
Perak fire and rescue department operations assistant director Sabarodzi Nor Ahmad said they received a call at 3.33am and their personnel arrived at the scene nine minutes later.
He said the lorry driver, Razali Sahad, 48, and his passenger, Alizzat Narayi, 28, were trapped in the lorry and pronounced dead at the scene by medical officers.
The rescue personnel took more than two hours to extricate the victims from the lorry.
