GEORGE TOWN:
Bukit Mertajam MP Steven Sim has been appointed Penang DAP chairman after the state party elections today.

Bukit Gelugor MP Ramkarpal Singh is deputy chairman while Tanjong Bunga assemblyman Zairil Khir Johari and former state executive councillor Yeoh Soon Hin are vice-chairmen.

Tanjong MP Lim Hui Ying has been reappointed as state party secretary.

“This is a unity leadership. We must close ranks to ensure our party stays on track,” said Sim, who is human resources minister in the federal Cabinet.
