KOTA KINABALU: Police are looking for a man suspected to have killed his neighbour after his wife and son fled to the neighbour’s house last night.
Keningau deputy police chief Alizam Dalaman said the suspect’s wife and son had fled after an argument.
“The wife sought help from the neighbour to take her to the Keningau police station but he was confronted by the husband, resulting in a fight,” he said in a statement here today.
Alizam said during the fight, the neighbour was slashed with a sharp object, causing severe bleeding which led to his death.
He said police have begun a murder investigation and are seeking witnesses or information on the suspect.
