PETALING JAYA:
Several workers of a restaurant linked to Global Ikhwan Services and Business Holdings (GISBH) have denied serving customers food laced with water used to soak the feet, beards, and other bodily hair of the company’s leaders.

In a video on Facebook, four employees of Restoran Ikhwan Delights in Sungai Penchala, Kuala Lumpur, firmly denied the allegations.

“We deny the accusations hurled against us, as well as other allegations being spread.

“We attest to this by swearing in the name of Allah and His messenger,” they said, adding that they are prepared to face God’s wrath if they lied.

The employees also said they hope the public will “judge for themselves what is happening (to GISBH)”.

Previously, Sinar Harian reported that workers of Restoran Nur Malaysia in Mecca, Saudi Arabia, which is also linked to GISBH, denied serving customers with food laced with water used to soak feet, beards, and other bodily hair.

The workers said their business has been affected by the controversies surrounding GISBH.

Based on checks by FMT, netizens claimed that GISBH’s subsidiaries which operate restaurants and bakeries were selling products laced with water used to soak the feet, beards, and other bodily hair of the company’s leaders.

Last Wednesday, police raided 20 welfare homes in Selangor and Negeri Sembilan which authorities had linked to GISBH.

Police said 402 children were rescued and investigations showed that at least 13 of them were allegedly sodomised or taught to sexually assault others. Among those arrested were an ustaz and a hostel warden.

GISBH has since denied that it operated the welfare homes which were raided and rejected claims children under its care were sodomised or forced to sexually assault others.

On Saturday, GISBH CEO Nasiruddin Ali admitted that cases of sodomy had occurred within the organisation in the past but denied allegations the firm was imparting deviant teachings to children and adolescents in its welfare homes.
