Sultan of Pahang confers honours on 27 recipients

The Sultan of Pahang, Al-Sultan Abdullah Sultan Ahmad Shah, today conferred honours on 27 recipients at an investiture ceremony in conjunction with his 65th birthday at Istana Abdulaziz in Kuantan.

Also present were Tengku Ampuan Pahang Tunku Azizah Aminah Maimunah Iskandariah and Tengku Mahkota Pahang Tengku Hassanal Ibrahim Alam Shah.

Among the recipients was FMT Media Sdn Bhd executive chairman Nelson Fernandez, who was awarded the Darjah Indera Mahkota Pahang (DIMP), conferring him the title of Dato’.

During the ceremony, Tengku Puteri Seri Lela Wangsa Tengku Meriam Sultan Ahmad Shah received the Sri Setia Al-Sultan Abdullah Ahmad Shah, which confers the title of Dato’ Sri Setia.

The sultan also conferred the Sri Sultan Ahmad Shah Pahang, bestowing the title of Dato’ Sri, to deputy entrepreneur development and cooperatives minister R Ramanan; former health ministry secretary-general Harjeet Singh; former Tenaga Nasional Bhd CEO Baharin Din; and Southern Acids (M) Bhd managing director Low Kok Thye.

Sultan Abdullah awarded the Sri Indera Mahkota Pahang, which grants the title of Dato’ Indera, to joint force commander of the Royal Malaysian Air Force (RMAF) Noor Akmar Dom and RMAF air operations commander Shahada Ismail.

Other recipients of the same honour include Tunku Abdul Rahman University of Management and Technology (TAR UMT) president Lee Sze Wei and Menara Network Sdn Bhd managing director Ab Razif Asmuni.

The Darjah Sultan Ahmad Shah Pahang, which also confers the title of Dato’, was awarded to RMAF air support commander Masro Kaliwon and RMAF assistant chief of engineering staff Hishammudin Abdul Rahman.

Other recipients included lawyer Tengku Shaiful Aftar Shah Mustafa; National Water Research Institute deputy director-general Zaki Mat Amin; Yindi Group China chairman Zhu Yilong; Thailand Charoen Pokphand Group (China) deputy chairman Li Wenhai; and Asian Art Production Sdn Bhd managing director Rozaidi Baharudin.

Other DIMP recipients were Orang Asli development department director-general Sapiah Nor; Tanjung Lumpur assemblyman Rosli Abdul Jabar; Beserah assemblyman Andansura Rabu; Prime Minister Anwar Ibrahim’s political secretary Ahmad Farhan Fauzi; and Perak MACC director Ahmad Sabri Mohamed.

Raub district officer Khuzaidi Harun; Bukit Aman criminal investigation department deputy director (investigation/operations) Fadil Marsus; Universiti Malaysia Pahang Al-Sultan Abdullah deputy vice-chancellor (academic and international affairs) Ahmad Ziad Sulaiman; RHB Banking Group managing director Rashid Mohamad; and former Stella Maris International School Kuala Lumpur president Tan Beng Cheok also received the same honours.
