The 24-year-old man, who was not named to protect the identity of the student, was accused of posting the lewd message on TikTok, Harian Metro reported.

The accused, who refers to himself as “Abang Bas”, claimed trial when the charge was read out to him before sessions court judge Osman Affendi Shalleh.

According to the charge sheet, he had shared a video of the nine-year-old with a caption that read: “Hari ini crush buat homework” (My crush doing her homework today).

The driver is accused of committing the offence at Jalan Aman 2 in Taman Budiman, Parit Raja, Batu Pahat on Sept 5.

The charge was framed under Section 233(1)(a) of the Communications and Multimedia Act 1998 for improper use of network facilities.

The prosecution was carried out by deputy public prosecutor Nur Izzati Rozman, while the accused was represented by Umar Zulkarnain.

Nur Izzati later applied for the case to be transferred to the Muar sessions court where the bus driver is facing the two sexual offences charges.

The court imposed bail of RM10,000 in one surety and set Oct 10 for the case to be mentioned in the Muar court.

On Sept 10, the man was charged with committing sexual assault by kissing the cheek of a four-year-old girl, said to be his niece.

On the second charge, he was accused of watching a nine-year-old girl continuously with sexual intent.
