KUANTAN:
The result of the investigation into Seputeh MP Teresa Kok’s remarks on halal certification is expected to be referred to the Attorney-General’s Chambers (AGC) within the next two days, Inspector-General of Police Razarudin Husain said.

He said Kok and several witnesses had been called to give their statements.

“We will send it (the result) to the AGC in the next two days, perhaps tomorrow,” he said at a press conference at the Pahang police headquarters here.

Razarudin was previously reported as saying that the police had received 50 reports on Kok’s remarks as of noon yesterday.

Meanwhile, he said the police were further investigating allegations that a member of the Pahang royal family and a group of individuals had attacked a man at a horse stable in Kuantan in June.

“The investigation paper has been returned (to the police) for further investigation. We have taken action, and perhaps within three to four days, the investigation will be completed, and we will resubmit it (to the AGC) for further action,” he said.

Recently, a road construction and maintenance worker claimed that he was stabbed and shot at after being attacked by a member of the Pahang royal family and several individuals.
