
In a Facebook post today, JPJ listed the following affected vehicles and motorcycles:
- 24,345 Toyota Vios models (March 2023 – February 2024 models);
- 205 Honda CBR250RR CBR250S3A bikes (2022 model); * 220 Suzuki V-STROM800DE bikes (2023 model);
- 125 Suzuki Burgman Street Ex bikes (2024 model); and
- Various models and makes of Mercedes-Benz vehicles.
It said the recall aims at preventing potential accidents caused by structural or equipment defects.
“Ensuring vehicle safety is crucial for guaranteeing both the safety and comfort of owners during travel.
“Naturally, owners would not want to drive vehicles with technical issues that could potentially endanger lives, and the manufacturers will carry out repairs at no cost to the owners,” it said.
JPJ also said the automotive manufacturers will contact the affected owners to schedule appointments for inspections.
“Cooperation between the vehicle owners and the manufacturers is essential to successfully complete this recall activity and to ensure it is resolved in the shortest possible time,” it said.
