
PETALING JAYA: A man was slashed with a knife in a dispute over a car that was blocked in a parking lot in Kepong, Kuala Lumpur, yesterday.
Sentul police chief Ahmad Sukarno Zahari said the 28-year-old suspect was detained after the 24-year-old victim was slashed with a 32cm-long knife in a housing area in Kepong at about 6pm.
“The victim was taken to hospital and received 35 stitches. The suspect was arrested at the scene at about 6.45pm,” he said, according to Sinar Harian.
He has been remanded for further investigation under Section 326 of the Penal Code for voluntarily causing grievous hurt with a dangerous weapon.
Video recordings of the incident, which went viral, showed the two men trading blows before the victim was slashed with the knife.
