Sanusi said despite the opposition’s openness to collaborate, the ministers and their deputies still chose to play politics.
“We have extended a hand of cooperation. We have shown willingness to work together.
“However, most of the cooperation offered to us is merely a political game (to them), used as ammunition to criticise us,” he told a press conference at a summit for the state government four, or “SG4”, here today.
Sanusi said this strong politicking hinders coordination between the state and federal governments, particularly in certain sectors and at the ministerial level.
“This is a practice I find unconstructive, and we do not intend to engage in the same behaviour,” he said.
However, Sanusi noted that this issue does not arise with the chief secretary to the government and other levels of the civil service.
He said the Kedah government will not resort to the same level and is ready for sincere, unconditional cooperation with Putrajaya.
