KUALA LUMPUR:
A man was arrested on suspicion of damaging his former employer’s luxury car after being fired from his job on Wednesday, police said.

Ampang Jaya police chief Azam Ismail said the owner of a security company had lodged a report on Tuesday that a person known to him had damaged his Lamborghini Urus.

“The motive behind this act of vandalism is believed to be the suspect’s dissatisfaction after being fired by the complainant,” Azam said. “The suspect had previously worked as a driver for the complainant’s wife.”

Azam said the damage to the Lamborghini was believed to include dents to the bonnet, slashed side mirrors, and a broken front windshield and bumper.

The suspect, a 27-year-old man, was found to have previous convictions for various offences, he said. The man has been remanded until Sunday and the case is being investigated for committing mischief.

The Lamborghini Urus is an SUV supercar with a 4 litre V8 petrol engine. Asking prices of recent used models range from RM1.4 million to RM2.5 million.
