Both the accused were charged with murdering Nur Anissa Afiera Zulhafize together in Sandalwood Court, an apartment in Bandar Tasik Puteri, Rawang, between 11.51am and 3.51pm on Aug 17.
The charge was framed under Section 302 of the Penal Code, which carries the death penalty or imprisonment for a term of 30 to 40 years, along with a minimum of 12 strokes of the cane, if convicted.
The prosecution was led by deputy public prosecutor Nor Izairah Zainal, while the two accused were not represented.
The court set Oct 16 for case re-mention and denied bail to both the accused.
