SHAH ALAM: The Selangor health department is investigating a woman’s allegation that she had a horrific experience giving birth at a government hospital in the state.
The department said it is examining the management of the patient throughout her time in the hospital.
“Hospital authorities will contact the owner of the TikTok account to arrange a meeting with the patient in the near future,” it said in a statement.
It also advised the public against speculating on the case and to give the department room to investigate the matter.
A video, which went viral, claimed that health workers at the public hospital were negligent during the childbirth procedure, and alleged that this eventually affected the mother’s body functions.
