Nilai police chief Malik Hasim said a report was received at 12.25pm about the discovery of the body.

The victim is believed to be a foreigner in his mid-30s, light-skinned, had short hair, medium-built and about 165cm tall. He is believed to have died within the last 24 hours.

“An examination of the man’s body showed blunt force trauma on the head and several parts of the body,” he said in a statement.

He urged anyone with a missing family member or acquaintance to lodge a police report.

Malik also called on those with information to contact investigating officer Nurazam Ghazali at 013-8005225 or the nearest police station.

The case is being investigated under Section 302 of the Penal Code for murder.
