Rosmah’s lawyer Firoz Hussein Ahmad Jamaluddin said all necessary paperwork is being finalised and will be submitted to the AG’s Chambers shortly.
Deputy public prosecutor Ahmad Akram Gharib confirmed this, Bernama reported.
“It’s just a matter of the documentation being finalised before we can (secure) an order from the court,” he was quoted as saying.
The representations were made in respect of 12 charges brought against Rosmah, 72, for allegedly laundering a total of RM7.09 million.
It also involves a further five charges over her alleged failure to declare her income to the Inland Revenue Board (LHDN) between Dec 4, 2013 and June 8, 2017, as required under the Income Tax Act 1967.
Rosmah had lodged two previous sets of representations in May and August last year, but no decision has been made on them.
On Oct 4, 2020, she filed an application in court seeking to be acquitted and discharged of all 17 charges.
Two witnesses have testified in the trial so far, which began on Aug 24, 2023.
