PETALING JAYA: Aug 25 has been declared a special holiday in Johor to allow the people to support the Johor Darul Ta’zim football team in the FA Cup final on Saturday.
Defending champions JDT will play Selangor FC in the cup final at the national stadium in Bukit Jalil.
Johor menteri besar Onn Hafiz Ghazi, in announcing the holiday, said it was a token of appreciation for supporters of the state team, whom he described as JDT’s “12th Player”.
He urged Johoreans to all come together and flood the Bukit Jalil stadium this Saturday to give our unwavering support to the JDT team.
JDT have won the FA Cup three times, in 2016, 2022 and 2023.
