PETALING JAYA:
A Selangor executive councillor has rejected reports of a possible reshuffle of the state government leadership.

Najwan Halimi said the issue was not discussed at today’s meeting of the state executive council.

He told FMT that the Selangor menteri besar, Amirudin Shari, had advised all exco members “to disregard such reports and focus on their duties”.

“The report is unfounded. We just concluded the exco meeting today, and no reshuffle was discussed,” said Najwan, who handles the youth, sports and entrepreneurship portfolio.

Another executive councillor, Jamaliah Jamaluddin, also confirmed that she had not received any information on a possible reshuffle.

“I haven’t heard anything,” she said.

Earlier reports today suggested a reshuffle of the Selangor executive council might take place at the end of this month or next month, with potential replacements of two exco members from PKR and DAP.
