PUTRAJAYA:
Zuki Ali, the outgoing chief secretary to the government, officially retired today after three decades in public service and expressed willingness to continue serving the country.

Zuki said his 32 years and seven months in public service have been a challenging yet fulfilling experience.

“I am grateful that throughout my tenure as the chief secretary to the government, I have gained a wealth of experience and valuable insights,” he said after clocking out from Perdana Putra Building in the administrative capital.

“I had the opportunity to serve under two kings and four prime ministers… I am willing to offer my service and advice if needed,” he said.

Prime Minister Anwar Ibrahim said recently that Zuki would be given another important assignment.

Zuki extended his gratitude to Anwar, the Cabinet, and civil servants who supported him during his term as head of the civil service.

He congratulated Shamsul Azri who takes over as 16th chief secretary on Aug 12.
