PETALING JAYA:
Selangor Pakatan Harapan is ready to hold talks with Umno on allocating one of the four seats in Kota Raja to Barisan Nasional in the 16th general election (GE16).

State PH chief Amirudin Shari said the matter could be negotiated between the unity government allies at the state level before being brought up to the top leaders.

“This needs to be discussed since we will be facing GE16 around 2027 or 2028. So it needs to be considered as partners in the unity government,” he said, according to Bernama.

Amirudin, a PKR vice-president, urged his PH allies not to be startled by the request made by Kota Raja Umno.

At the division meeting on Sunday, Kota Raja Umno chief Tengku Zafrul Aziz said PH should allow the party to contest the Sentosa, Sungai Kandis, or Kota Kemuning state seats, or even the Kota Raja parliamentary seat, in GE16.
