PETALING JAYA: Penang chief minister Chow Kon Yeow has extended his deputy Jagdeep Singh Deo’s leave by another four days.
While Jagdeep is in better health, Chow said the Datok Keramat assemblyman requested the extension based on his doctor’s advice.
“I have agreed to extend his leave until Aug 9 to allow Jagdeep to continue his necessary treatment,” he said in a statement.
Chow previously approved 11 days of leave until today for Jagdeep, who had earlier revealed that he was taking a short break from work.
Jagdeep had informed Chow on July 19 about his need for medical examinations and a possible surgical procedure on his left leg.
