Zuki also said this is crucial given that obesity rates have surpassed the 50% mark among the population, with a significant number being civil servants in Putrajaya.
“Therefore, it is essential for individuals to engage in health-promoting activities, such as running, as a way to adopt a healthier lifestyle,” he said after the launch of the Putrajaya Car Free Day programme by deputy prime minister Fadillah Yusof here this morning.
The Putrajaya Car Free Day, organised by Perbadanan Putrajaya, resumes its monthly schedule on the fourth week of each month, marking its return since it was last held in 2019.
The programme is designed to offer residents the chance to engage in a range of healthy leisure activities, such as walking and cycling.
During the programme, Dataran Putrajaya will be closed to traffic, extending from the Menara Prisma intersection to the Menara Tulus intersection.
