PETALING JAYA:
Perak Football Club’s interim CEO Bobie Farid Shamsudin has resigned from the post, hours after the club’s 1-2 defeat to Kuching City FC last night.

Bobie, who is also CEO of telecommunications service provider One XOX Sdn Bhd, announced his resignation in a Facebook post just past midnight.

“I have left my business partners for far too long. Back to real work, real people.

“To me, this sport is hard to repair. Adios, Perak FC,” he said.

In 2021, Perak FC struggled with late payment of salaries and players’ disappointment with the team’s management.

Bobie was appointed interim Perak FC CEO in May 2022, a month after the club was deducted six points over the salary arrears issue.

The club currently sits in ninth place in the Malaysia Super League.
